TOXIC GASES HIT "HAZARDOUS"

Chart documents 4 air sample readings during 4 days at end of May and beginning of June,
2010. The highest air sample reading by EPA is in Venice, Louisiana on May 31. Measured 
for PM 10 (10 micron) size particulate matter, the sample measures 542.7 ug/m3 
at sample station VO3. The value converted to AQI Air Quality Index is 438 in the highest
“Hazardous” range, indicating “health warnings of emergency conditions. The entire population
is more likely to be affected.”

Second highest reading is 144 AQI at Venice, LA on June 1. For comparison, 2 samples
register 83 AQI at Chalmette, LA on May 29 and 97 AQI at Venice, LA on June 2, both ”Moderate”
range ‘there may be a moderate health concern for a very small number of people who are
unusually sensitive to air pollution.”

  1. Your chart is giving all information for hazardous pollution. This would make many people aware about pollution.
